John Robert Wright Jr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on May 19, 1961, in Maryland, John lived a life full of passion and joy, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew him.
He was married to his childhood sweetheart, Barbara Wright, for an incredible 43 years. Together, they built a beautiful family that includes their four children: John Wright III, Rachel McDaniels (Joe), Heather Wright (Andrew Baranowski), and Sharon Marx (Mike). John lit up whenever his grandchildren Joseph, Ian, Justin, Mariana, Nathan, Marissa, Johnny, and Ruby were around.
John's siblings, Donald, Brenda, Linda, Geannie and Barbara, will forever hold their brother's memory close, as will the dearly departed Paul, Tommy, and Jackie, who welcomed him with open arms.
John was an enthusiast of all things automotive and motorcycle-related, particularly his cherished Harley Davidson. He found excitement in car rides and took pleasure in simple joys like Dunkin Donuts iced tea with Splenda. He also enjoyed indulging in western movies. Above all, he loved sharing time with his family.
To honor John's life, a public viewing will take place at the Connelly Funeral Home of Dundalk on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, from at 9:00 AM-12:00 PM followed by a heartfelt funeral service. John will be laid to rest at Holly Hill Memorial Gardens.
Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating the wonderful life of John Robert Wright Jr. His spirit will live on in the stories shared and the memories created as we remember a man who brought so much joy to our lives.
