Paul McKenna Obituary

Paul McKenna, age 66, of Crofton, MD passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025 at his home.  He was born on November 13, 1958 in Queens, NY to the late Eileen Sutherland McKenna and John E. McKenna.  He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Mary Ann McKenna, daughter Mariessa McKenna, granddaughters Zara and Kaiya, his siblings Peter McKenna (Cathy), Bob McKenna, Anne Barnes, Marie Jones (Walter) and Patt Cole (Mel).  He is also survived by his sisters-in laws, brothers-in-law and their respective families as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The son of a military veteran, he moved with his family to Bowie in 1965.  He graduated from Bowie HS in 1976.  He worked for a printing company for 46 years.  He enjoyed photography, reading and going on nature walks with his daughter.  He especially liked realistic fiction.  He had a nice record collection and a broad music taste.  His favorites were classic rock and jazz.  He was a peaceful and fun-loving man who spent his best days fishing on the Severn or Patuxent River with his friends.  He had a love of sailboats and the Atlantic Ocean, especially the Outer Banks of North Carolina.  He spend many summers with his family there.   He especially liked to sit outside and look at stars and constellations.

Above all, Paul was a steadfast and honest man who was loyal to his friends and family.  He will be remembered for his kindness and peaceful nature.
