Thomas Roskovensky Obituary

Thomas Anthony Roskovensky, Jr., 68, of Latrobe, PA, formerly of Sykesville, MD passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, November 13, 2024. He was born on September 23, 1956, in Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Thomas Anthony Roskovensky, Sr. and Julia Long Roskovensky. He was the loving husband of the late Debra Plonsky Roskovensky who died on December 12, 2023. Tom was a graduate of Greater Latrobe High School. He had worked for many years as a millwright with the former Bethlehem Steel Corp from 1996-2012 and with the U.S. Steel Corp from 2013 to present. Tom was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and Pittsburgh Penguins fan. He attended Holy Spirit Lutheran Church, Eldersburg when he lived in Sykesville. He loved to spend time with his daughter and son-in-law Amanda N. and Michael Barrett Herbert of Sykesville and his three grandchildren, Cameron, Emersyn and Brielle who affectionately called him 'Pappy'. He is also survived by sister Julia Ray and two sister-in-laws, Sherry Sullenberger and Kevin Yates, of Bovard, and Tracy Sullenberger and her husband, Tucker, of Latrobe; nieces and nephews, Brandon Sullenberger and his wife, April, Tyler Sullenberger, Miranda Fraicola and her husband, Thomas, Zack Sullenberger and fiancé, Alexus Fearer and Morgan Sullenberger; and great-nieces and great-nephews, Mason, Maleah and Tucker Tom was predeceased by his son, the late Joshua Edward Roskovensky and nephew William Jason Reagan. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8pm on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at Haight Funeral Home & Chapel, 6416 Sykesville Road, Sykesville, MD. A funeral service will be held at 11am on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at the funeral home with Pastor Robin Litton officiating. Interment will be private. A memorial service will also be held on Pennsylvania at a later date. Online condolences may be offered at www.haightfuneralhome.com
