Violet Cavey Obituary

It is with a heavy heart that we mourn the loss of Violet Cavey, who passed away peacefully on October 9, 2025, at the age of 94. Violet was a great cook, rarely requiring a recipe to make the most delicious meals. She loved to entertain her neighbors and hosted many parties in Pasadena and Ocean Pines. She had quite the competitive spirit, whether coaching softball or playing cards, cornhole, or bowling. Her favorite pastime was BINGO; it was not unusual for her to play with 6 - 8 cards at a time. Violet loved her jewelry and her clothes, and she took great pride in dressing up each day and looking her best. Violet is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Calvin Cavey, Sr. She is survived by her son, Calvin Cavey, Jr., who was her greatest joy and his wife Claudia. A celebration of life will be private and held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations be made to Hospice of the Chesapeake by clicking HERE.
