Dear Laura and Family,

It is with a sad heart I, and your entire Berry Shoals family back in Duncan, South Carolina, send you deepest sympathy in the loss of your beloved father. I lost my father a little over a year ago. He, too, was a veteran and had an illness which required constant care. What an enormous debt of gratitude all of us owe your father and others like him who sacrificed in order for us to enjoy what we have today.

As you were in your time here with us, I know you, wherever you are, brighten the days of everyone around you, so I know you were such a tremendous joy to your father and family. I know you were devoted to taking care of your father as often as you could making his illness as stress-free and painless as possible.

Please know, though we are miles apart, I will continue praying for you and your loved ones as you process your loss and continue with your day-to-day activities. After my father died, I was almost shocked that the world didn't stop at his passing. Things will improve with time as you realize all the good times and good memories you shared will forever remain in your heart.

Take care of yourself.
We love you, Laura.
