Doris Cohrs

Doris Ann Ramsey Gray Cohrs, 92, of Darien, passed away on Aug. 11, 2025.

Doris was born on April 16, 1933, and moved to Darien in 1989 to enjoy the coastal bird life and surrounding nature she adored.

She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Cohrs; her parents, Aeneas and Cornelia Ramsey; and her granddaughter, Candace Doyle.

She is survived by her children, Leonard (Renee) Gray of Trenton, South Carolina, Suzanne Berry of Grayson and Pamela (Jerry) Mathews of Albertville, Alabama; her stepchildren, Amy (Robert) Vassey of Peachtree City and Larry Cohrs of Villa Rica; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and her beloved feline companion, Mitsou.

A private ceremony to honor her life will be held at a later date.
