Ernest Corlette Obituary
Ernest J. "Joey" Corlette Jr., 64, of Darien, departed this life Thursday, Nov. 21, 2024, at Southeast Georgia Health System, in Brunswick.
Born Oct. 3, 1960, in Brunswick to Ernest Joseph "Joe" Corlette Sr., and the late Mary Nell Corlette, he was a truck driver for TSU/ Allied Universal. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle, spending time joking around with family and friends and his canine companion, Taz. He was a Baptist and had been a resident of Darien since 1975.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Susan Corlette of Darien; a daughter, Erin Gault of Darien; stepson, Bud Davis of Darien; a granddaughter, Autumn Gault and Chris; a grandson, Colten Gault; a great-granddaughter, Scarlett Hunter; a sister, Angie Lynn and husband, Mike, of Darien; and his father, Joe Corlette Sr. of Darien.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, at Northside Baptist Church, in Darien, with the Rev. Mike Lynn officiating. Interment will follow in Whispering Pines Cemetery, with Chris Lynn, Michael Lynn, Bud Davis, Eddie Crews, Richie Strickland and Shelly Erdmier serving as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dr. Duane Moores and staff, Dr. Timothy Jamieson and staff, Dr. Rafael Alba Yunen and staff, Dr. Mathew Certain and staff, Cancer Care Unit Brunswick, and all co-workers and friends at TSU.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
