Harold Glazer Obituary

Harold "Hal" Glazer

Harold "Hal" Glazer, 85, of Brunswick, passed away peacefully on Nov. 9, 2025. Born in Boston, he was the beloved son of Gertrude and Albert Glazer, both of whom predeceased him; as did his sister, Roberta Goldstein.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Susan Glazer; children and stepchildren, Alysa O'Hara (Adrian), Neil Bednar (father to Ambrose, Ever, and Willa), and Sara Peck (Travis, son Taylor). He also leaves nephews, Andrew Mark (Jennifer, son Joseph) and Gary Demeyo (Kristen, daughters Lilly and Ginny); niece, Karen Roberts (Peter); and lifelong friend, Louis Gaynor of New Hampshire.

Hal grew up in Hull, Massachusetts, where his lifelong love of the sea began. That passion carried into his years living in Southern Florida, where he enjoyed sailing and charted courses to nearly every island in the Caribbean, including Cuba. The ocean was his sanctuary, and his adventures on the water were among his proudest joys. In addition to sailing, Hal had a deep love for motorcycles. He was proud to serve as vice president of the Eagle Riders of St. Marys, where he found camaraderie and joy in the open road.

Hal's legacy is one of adventure, family, and enduring friendships. He will be remembered for his love of sailing, his passion for motorcycles and the pride he took in his family.

The service will be private.

I met Hal and his wife Sue through charity motorcycle rides held in southeast Georgia. Even when we weren't riding our motorcycles, our paths seemed to cross be it on the pier on St. Simons Island or the grocery store in Brunswick. I enjoyed hearing about his life and times. He was really an interesting man. He was a true biker. He didn't just own a motorcycle; he actually rode a lot and went to meetings of other biker groups so he would know when they were being held. I will miss Hal, or Halbo as was his biker's name displayed on his leather vest. Knowing him, I'll bet he still is proudly wearing his vest with his new set of wings. I'm praying for his wife Sue, that Jesus will help her get through these difficult times.

I first met Hal and his wife Sue back in 2010 riding motorcycles and quickly became friends. I sure will miss him and Sue riding around on their bike. God bless him and his wonderful wife Sue. Rest easy my friend.

I had the good fortune to know Hal and Sue when we moved to St. Marys from Kentucky in 2019. Like Hal, we have a love of motorcycles which is how we became friends. A truly lovely couple, Hal and Sue made becoming friends extremely easy! I will remember Hal as one who readily volunteered to help other folks when the need arose. His years of service as a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles ("People Helping People") is testimony of his years of good deeds to others. Hal will be missed by all that knew him, especially his wonder wife of many years, Sue. God Bless Hal Glazer and may his soul R.I.P. Ride Free Brother.........
