John Jones

John Dayton Jones, 51, of Woodbine, passed away on Nov. 28, 2024. He was born on May 22, 1973, to Lloyd Oscar Jones III and Susan Brenda Jones in Brunswick, where he resided most of his life.

Dayton is remembered for his love of fishing, cornhole, golf (and later Top Golf), karaoke and his skill as a builder and carpenter. He worked as a mechanical assistant for FieldCore, part of GE Vernova. More than anything, Dayton enjoyed good times spent with friends and family.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John and Mary Bryson and Lloyd Oscar Jones Jr. and Betty Jean Turnbull.

Dayton is survived by his son, Austen Jones (Macey); daughter, Ashlyn Jones; parents, the Rev. Lloyd "Buddy" and Brenda Jones; grandson, Bentley Gay; brother, Christopher Jones; his loving companion, Carisa "Crissy" Drury; a niece, Lindsey Jones; and a nephew, Justin Jones.

A memorial visitation will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5, 2024, at Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home, followed by a service at 2 p.m.

Brunswick Memorial Park Funeral Home is honored to assist the Jones family.

Dayton was family to us. Love this family beyond words. We all grew up together in Church. Daytons presence will live on in our Hearts. On Resurrection Day He will rise first and those remaining will be caught up to be with him forever more.

Buddy & Brenda,

I am so sorry for your loss. As Ecclesiastes 12:7 tells us, our spirit returns to God who gave it. God comforted me at my time of loss, He will comfort you. We have the hope of seeing our loved ones again. Dayton is in good hands.

Be Blessed,
Love, Linda
