Kenneth Freeman Obituary
Kenneth Gary Freeman, 84, of Brunswick, passed away on Sunday Nov. 9, 2025, under the care of Hospice of Golden Isles.
Ken was born in Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, New Jersey, and earned his bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology at Rutgers University.
After graduation, he was vice president of Eagle Oil Co. in New Jersey. Following the sale of his family's business, he was a psychologist in Pasadena, California and Coconut Grove, Florida, before retiring to Brunswick.
He was proud of his Jewish heritage. Ken's beloved partner of 25 years, Leilani Rose Casstellucci preceded him in death along with his parents, Richard and Sylvia Freeman; paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Freeman; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Zuprick; an aunt, Rita Zuprick (Irwin) Heyman and niece, Joanie Heyman.
Survivors are his wife, Linda Chitty Freeman of Brunswick; sister, Joan (Larry) Budish; nephews, Eric and Jon Budish; stepsons, William (Haley) Chitty and Paul, Michael and Nathan Garcia; stepdaughters, Eva-Marie (Danny) Meherally and Debbie McWilliams; step-grandchildren, Lillian, River and Alden Meherally and Zeke, Ellianna and Eva Silva; special "adopted" family, Juan Silva and Will(Delma) Santiago; sister-in-law, Annette Coulson; and brother-in-law, Curtis (Katie) Lanier; special niece, Lisa (Carey) McDaniel.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025, at Rinehart Chapel with Rabbi Rachael Bregman officiating. Interment will follow in Manningtown Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Carey McDaniel, Nate Jackson, Jeffery McCarty, Brian Lanier and Josh Remer.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home of Jesup is in charge of arrangements.
