Leo Blocker Jr.

Leo Blocker Jr. was born Feb. 14, 1949, in in McIntosh County to the late Emma Blocker and Leo Blocker. He was a member of Victory Tabernacle Kingdom Church of Christ, in Darien. He departed this life on Nov. 6, 2025.

Preceding him in death are his parents; a sister, Sadie Burgess; and a brother, Clarence Blocker.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Rachel Blocker of Darien; three daughters, Keena McKibbins (Paul) and Kenya Blocker, both of Atlanta, and Kenyetta Blocker of Houston; a bonus daughter, Karen Wilson; two sons, Tyron Cruz of Key West, Florida, and Jeremy Carey of Darien; six grandchildren; five sisters, Mattie Burgess (James), Jannette Blocker, Emily Underwood (Johnnie), Roberta Deloache and Annette Hepburn (Leonard), all of Darien; one brother, Willie Thomas of Jacksonville; six brothers-in-law, Alvin Henderson of Orlando, Florida, Ernest Henderson of Tacoma, Washington, Fredrick Carey of Key West, Nelson Carey of Colorado, and Melvin Carey of Darien; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Blocker of Darien and Viola Knowles of Tampa; two aunts, Lillie Brown of Chicago and Brenda Watson of Darien; one uncle, Charlie Sallins of Houston; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and sorrowing friends.

The viewing will be from 4-6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, 2025, at Darien Funeral Home.

A celebration of life service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, 2025, at Victory Tabernacle Kingdom Church of Christ, 403 Seventh St., in Darien, with interment to follow in Upper Mill Cemetery, in Darien.

Darien Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
