Nancy Lewis Obituary

Nancy Lewis

Nancy Lee Lewis, 75, of Darien, passed away after an extended illness on Oct. 6, 2025, at Southeast Georgia Health System, in Brunswick.

Nancy was born on March 19, 1950, at home in Darien, to Arthur and Mary Louise Davis. She attended Darien High School. Nancy met Mike Lewis at the age of 16, and the two eloped on April 8, 1967. They began their family the following year. Nancy devoted herself to raising her three sons, Mike, Josh and Gabe. She and her husband, Mike, owned My Three Sons video store, in Darien. In the early 1990s, Nancy went to work as a dispatcher and later a sheriff's deputy in McIntosh County. She eventually transferred to, and retired from, the McIntosh County Tag Office.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; her brothers, James "Bozy" Davis and Louis "Louie" Davis; sister, Mary Louise "Cheeta" Davis; and her beloved sons, Mike Lewis Jr. and Gabe Lewis.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Mike Lewis Sr., and her son, Josh (Cynthia) Lewis; her grandchildren, Zachary Lewis and Anna Lewis; her brother, Buddy Davis; and her sister, Bonnie Caldwell. She is also survived by several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.

Zachary Lewis, Don Lewis, Will White, Palwesh Lewis, Bud Davis and Bubba Davis will serve as pallbearers.

A graveside service will be held at noon on Friday, Oct.10, 2025 at the Crescent Baptist Church Cemetery.

Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, www.edomillerandsons.com, in Brunswick, is entrusted with the final arrangements.
