Stephanie Highsmith Obituary
Stephanie Lamone Highsmith, 60, of St. Simons Island, passed away on Nov. 6, 2025, at her home.
Born on Jan. 5, 1965, Stephanie brought light, laughter and love to everyone who knew her. For nearly 40 years, she shared her artistry and warmth as a master cosmetologist at Fancy-Do's in Brunswick. Stephanie had a remarkable gift for making people feel good about themselves. She was endlessly kind and encouraging, always finding something positive to say. Her clients didn't just love how she made them look - they cherished how she made them feel. Sitting in her chair meant being seen, heard, and uplifted by a truly radiant soul.
Her heart belonged to the coast. She loved the beach, the sun and especially being on the water. Whether boating or sailing with her son Bryce, Stephanie found her greatest joy in the ocean breeze and open sky.
She is survived by her beloved son, Bryce Highsmith; her parents, Roger and Sandra Box; her brother, Ernie Knight (Mary); her sister, Sandy Elder (David); and her former husband, Ronnie Highsmith. She was preceded in death by her brother, Vernon Knight; and her sister, Robin Courson.
Stephanie will be remembered for her radiant smile, her generosity of spirit and the warmth she shared so freely with everyone she met. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 14 at Mary Ross Waterfront Park in Brunswick.
