Tamela Wooten

Tamela Faye Wooten, 65, of Brunswick, departed this life Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, at Southeast Georgia Health System.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18, 2025, at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

Born April 28, 1960, in Vidalia, to the late James Louis and Joy Faye F. Smith, she was a lifelong resident of Brunswick. Mrs. Wooten was a cook at Chic King in Brunswick. She graduated from Brunswick High School in the Class of 1978. She enjoyed sightseeing in the mountains, fishing and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her husband, Marty Allen Wooten; two sons, Daniel Wooten and wife, Audrey, and Dusty Wooten and wife, Chelsea, all of Brunswick; five grandchildren, Dylan Wooten, Tyler Wooten and wife, Sarah, Hunter Wooten and Lizzi Wooten; four great-grandchildren, Bubba Wooten, Parker Rose Wooten, Walker Wooten and Hazel Wooten; three step-grandchildren, Benjamin Carter Jr., Rylie Carter and Khloe Carter; two brothers, James Smith and wife, Genelda, and Richard Smith and wife, Susan, all of Brunswick; and a sister, Linda Wooten and husband, Donald, of Brunswick.
