Willie Green Obituary
Willie Charles Green Jr. was born on June 20, 1960, in Brunswick, to Willie C. Green Sr. and Magalene B. Green. He passed away on Oct. 30.
He was educated in the Glynn County School System, and graduated in 1979.
After graduation, he attended welding school. His work history included Sea Island Co., Hercules and lynn County Public Works.
He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycle with his friends and watching football.
He was a dedicated provider for his family.
He is survived by his children, Antonio D. Cook (Larisza), Mario A. Green, Kristen L. Griffin (Darrell), Derrick L. Lewis (Laisha), Kirby N. Cooper and Shakeeya M. Mungin (Patrick); 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren; siblings, Philip Jackson Sr. (Dorothy), Eula Joe (Alexander), Carlton Green, Sharon Green Shingles (William), Durand Green; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and friends who will miss him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie C. Green Sr. and Magalene B. Green; maternal grandparents, Charlton and Estella Butler; and paternal grandparents, Angel Lewis and Annie Mae Shingles Lewis.
A public viewing was held from 4-6 p.m. Nov. 5 at Darien Funeral Home.
A celebration of life service will be at noon today at Darien Funeral Home, with interment to follow at Memory Garden Cemetery.
Darien Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
