Anne Marie Edgmon (Sherman) passed away on Jan. 3, 2025, in Conway, Arkansas, at the age of 67. Anne is survived and deeply missed by her husband, David Thomas Edgmon, with whom she shared 34 years of marriage.
Anne was born in El Paso, Texas, in 1957 as the newest addition to a military family. She grew up in Saint Charles, Missouri, where she met David Wayne Griffin, whom she married on July 2, 1976. They had five children. Following their divorce in 1989, Anne relocated to Conway, Arkansas, after she married David Thomas in 1991. They raised Anne's children here. With this marriage, she gained three daughters.
Anne's early years were filled with love and affection. She was full of life and loved being surrounded by her family as well as her friends. She was often found at church choir. She loved music and being surrounded by music. Music was her joy and her peace.
Anne's testimony of her heavenly father and our savior, Jesus Christ, was solid and immovable. She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is survived by sisters, Carolyn Sherman, and Martha Sherman; brothers, Thomas Sherman Jr. (Maryanne), James Sherman (Michele) and Michael Sherman (Glenda); daughters, Robyn Matheson (Aaron), Dawn Brown (Nathan), Mae Dietz (Jason) and Victoria Llyod (Tyler); son, David Griffin II (Tiffany); step daughters, Leslie Marshall (Ron), Rustye Cooley (Todd) and Robin Cunningham (Kirk); 32 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents, Thomas John and Mae Lorraine Sherman (Zerr); sister, Sandra Sherman, and brothers, Martin Sherman (Patricia) and John Sherman.
The family would like to express their deep gratitude to Crystal, Ashley, Sam and other caregivers from Seeds of Love, who so lovingly cared for Anne during the final months of her life. She had many visits from family and friends during this time.
We love Anne and will miss her until we meet again.
