Charletta G. Howington, age 99, of Perryville, Arkansas, peacefully passed away on Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026. Born on July 16, 1926, in Dumas, Arkansas, she was the beloved daughter of William Quinn and Nancy Ussery Quinn.
Charletta lived a long and meaningful life rooted in love, service and devotion to family. A retired LPN nurse, she dedicated her career to caring for others with compassion and kindness – qualities that defined her both professionally and personally. She was the cherished wife of the late Leroy Howington and the heart of her family, always putting the needs of others before her own.
She is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Linda Howington (William Bullock) of Conway; her son-in-law, David Doolittle; her four grandchildren, Janice Howington, Stefani Howington (Matthew McWilliams), Rachel Doolittle and Megan Campbell (Dallan Campbell); and her two treasured great-grandchildren, Liam McWilliams and Hudson Campbell. Her legacy of love continues through each of them.
Charletta was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, Leroy; her daughter, Nancy Doolittle; and her siblings, Troy Quinn, Vane Quinn, Juanita Margiotta and Phillip Quinn.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to Gentiva Hospice, Conway Regional Medical Center and Superior Health and Rehab for the exceptional care, compassion and comfort they provided during her final days.
A memorial service celebrating Charletta's life will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 20, at Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Online condolences may be shared at www.harrisfuneralhomes.net.
