Daniel 'Dan' Joseph Ellege was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on March 28, 1958, to Weldon Bailey Ellege and Ritabell (Odom) Ellege.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Kenneth E. Ellege.
He is survived by his sister, Debora (Mike); his brother, Harold; nieces; nephews; and great-nieces.
Dan was a sweet, funny, spiritual and kind man who loved music, people and animals. On many days, you could see him enjoying all three out by the fire. Dan loved music of all kinds but especially Neil Young and The Beatles. Dan also loved animals and received many of his cats and dogs from people who had moved on in life, or death. But, most of all, he loved his friends. We thank everyone for giving Dan a sense of family and belonging. He was loved and will be missed.
A memorial visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 14, 2023, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway from 5-7 p.m.
Donations may be made to the Humane Society or Brookdale Nursing in his name as he loved animals and his friends at Brookdale.
