Joy Lynn Mobley Williams, a 65-year resident of Conway, was born on Feb. 8, 1955, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and passed away unexpectedly on Oct. 25, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Mary Biltz Mobley of Conway and the late Lawrence Edward Mobley of Little Rock. A member of First United Methodist Church in Conway, Joy's faith and kindness were steady sources of comfort to those around her.
Joy graduated from the University of Central Arkansas and was an active member of Alpha Sigma Tau Sorority during and after her college years. She enjoyed a long and fulfilling career in management – first with Universal Nolan, and later as manager of the family-owned business, GWI, a tool and engineering company. Beyond her professional life, Joy's interests reflected her love of connection and adventure. She enjoyed golfing, cheering for the St. Louis Cardinals, tending her flowers, traveling with friends and gathering with family. Her thoughtful and generous spirit touched everyone she met – she never failed to remember the milestones and special moments of others.
She is survived by her husband, Grady Williams; her twin sister, Jane Mobley Turney (Howard) of Little Rock; nephew Howard Moose "Bo" Turney, Jr. (MollieKate) of St. Petersburg, Florida; children Keith Williams (Ashley) of Conway and Shannon Williams of Lebanon, Missouri; and grandchildren Conner Williams (Scarlett) of Harrison and Lindsey Navarro (Tyler) of Waxahachie, Texas. She was preceded in death by her sister, JeJo Mobley of Little Rock.
Joy was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. Though she is no longer with us, her warmth, laughter and kindness remain close to our hearts.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 1, 2025, at 2 p.m. located at the First United Methodist Church of Conway, 1610 Prince St., Conway, Arkansas 72034.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Arkansas Food Bank or the First United Methodist Church's food pantry.
