Mark Wayne Stephens, 68, of Conway, died Sept. 10, 2025.
He was born in Carlisle on Dec. 20, 1956, to Bill and Geneva Stephens, and moved to Conway as a child. He graduated from Conway High School in 1975 and attended the University of Central Arkansas. He became a Conway firefighter and later owned Club Cars of Arkansas, a golf cart dealership. He later founded a screen-printing business, AdGraphics, and worked at what was then the Office of Emergency Services in Conway before eventually making his way back to UCA, from which he retired in 2020.
At a young age, he started playing golf with his father, and they and his two sisters loved the game. Besides golf, his other hobbies included drone photography and guitar.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents, Henry and Gertrude White, and Earl and Edna Stephens. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Lisa Freeman Stephens; his daughters, Rebecca Tuite (Jeff) of Manahawkin, N.J.; Kristen Baldwin (Tommy) of Goodyear, Ariz.; and Kelli Vasquez (Christopher) of Conway; his grandchildren, Joey and Rosalie Baldwin, Annika Ngo and Jordan Tuite; and Calvin and Vada Vasquez; his sisters, Sonya Stephens and Stephanie Stephens of Conway; stepchildren, Brooks Freeman and Jill Freeman Walden; two uncles and aunts; a number of cousins; and several special golf buddies.
A visitation will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Conway, with a memorial service to follow at 2 p.m.
