Martha Pearce Obituary
She was born Dec. 1, 1913, in Greenbrier, to the late Nath and Nellie (Chance) Pate.
Mrs. Pearce was a member of the Church of Christ and a homemaker. She loved gardening, listening to gospel music and making beautiful quilts.
Mrs. Pearce is survived by eight children, Ruth Hodge of Mt. Vernon, Alice Murdock (Walter) of Enola, Gayle Swaim (Lewis) of Naylor, Janice Kincannon (Bill) of Quitman, Carthel Pearce (Barbara) of Quitman, Jesse Pearce (Debora) of Vilonia, Ricky Pearce (Joan) and Tommy Pearce (Paula), all of Mt. Vernon; one sister, Bertha Warren (Lewis) of Conway; a brother-in-law, Roger "Dude" Pearce of Gassville; three sisters-in-laws, Ada Forder (Ed) of Sterling, Ill., Earlene Jones and Pansey Pearce, both of Jonesboro; one double cousin that was a friend for life, Maydene Estep of Enola; twenty-one grandchildren; forty-nine great-grandchildren; and thirty-seven great-great-grandchildren; and a whole host of step grandchildren and step great-great-grandchildren; niceces and nephews.
Mrs. Pearce is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Barney Pearce; an infant son, Sonny Pearce; eight sisters; two brothers; two grandsons; two granddaughters; three great-grandsons; and a son-in-law.
The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Tilly and the Odyssey Hospice Staff: Cole, Trudy, Kathy, Martha, Pam, Doris and Stephanie.
Visitation will be 2-4 p.m., Sunday, April 28, 2013, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home.
Mrs. Pearce's funeral service will be 1 p.m., Monday, April 29, 2013, at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, with Bro. Denton Lewis and Shelby Johnston officiating.
Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers: Allen Hodge, Jake and Denny Lewis, Johnny and Greg Pearce, Audy Swaim, Billy and David Bradke, Jerriod, Joey and Travis Pearce and Trastan Whitmire.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to the Brown Cemetery Fund at Simmons First Bank in Conway.
Arrangements are under the direction of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway, 327-7727.

Aunt Mart, you will be missed dearly. I know that you have been ready to go home for some time now, and I am sure that Uncle Barney was waiting for you with open arms and a few pieces of bubble gum.
