Adriano passed away peacefully surrounded by family on August 5, 2016. He was born in Laoag City, Philippines, attended Ilocos Norte National High School, and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from Divine Word College. Adriano came to the United States, and joined the U.S. Army. He was stationed around the world, including the Presidio of San Francisco, Okinawa, Korea, Germany, and Arizona, rising the ranks to 1SG. One of his most important assignments was in Ft. Stewart, GA, where he met his future wife, Natividad. The other was in Ft. He took on a second career of 19 years with the U.S. Postal Service, starting as a mail carrier and rising the ranks once again, eventually retiring as a postal supervisor. He is well known for his culinary specialties: smoked fish, boiled peanuts, and balut. His hobbies include gardening and playing ping-pong.

I knew Andy when he was working with me At CDEC at Fort Ord. He was a friendly, considerate and cooperative worker. I'm sorry that I cannot attend his services since I am living in another state.

Our very deep sympathy and condolences to the family of Andy Mariano. Andy was a good man, a good friend, and a very good "pingpong" player whom I had several occasions to play with at the Salinas Recreation Center. He got me beat all the time! We pray that his soul rest in peace and now enjoys the infinite and eternal love of his creator, our Lord, God Almighty!
