Constantine Taniyo Obituary
SALINAS
Constantine Taniyo, of Salinas, passed away at home on Thursday, July 3, 2014. He was born March 18, 1932, in Ewa Beach, Hawaii.
He was a retired mechanic, and also served in the U.S. Army for 21 years. In the 70's and 80's, he belonged to the Hui O' Aloha Hawaiian Club. He graduated from Hartnell College, and enjoyed working with computers and electronics.
He is survived by his daughter, Connie Lou Camp (James); grandchildren, Tiffany A. Sanchez (Daniel), David K. Camp, Ramsey T. Camp (Brittany), and Jason K. Camp; great-granddaughters, Leinani, Kailani, Kylur, Makani, and Rory, all of Salinas); sisters, Katherine Jobe (Martin), and Bening Elia (Joe) of Southern California; nephew and family, Gonzalo Espina (Catherine), Cherise Goldberg (Heather), Michael Espina, Cat Espina, and Tyler Espina.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2014, with a Rosary recital at 7 p.m., all at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, CA 93905.
Funeral services will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 12, 2014, at the Queen of Heaven Mausoleum Chapel, 18200 Damian Way, Salinas, CA 93907.
Burial with Military Honors will follow at the Queen of Heaven and Cemetery.
