Iva G. Dixon
Iva Griffin Dixon, 105, longtime resident of Salinas, passed away Thursday, Jan. 15, 2015, in Salinas. She was born Sept. 24, 1909, in Carroll County, AR.
Iva loved to quilt. She also enjoyed taking walks on the Toro Park trails. Iva was a member of the Echoes from Calvary Church in Salinas.
Iva is survived by daughter, Nadine West of Salinas; son, Charles (Cheryl) Dixon of Whittman, AZ; grandchildren, April and Charles Dixon, Jr.; sister, Roberta Taylor of Salinas also survives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy Dixon; grandson, Jeffrey West; sisters, Cleo Griffin, Edna Hartnett; brothers, James, Chester and Austin Griffin, and son-in-law, Vernon West.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 7 p.m. Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, at Healey Mortuary, 405 N. Sanborn Road, Salinas, CA 93905.
Funeral services will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, at the Healey Mortuary Chapel.
Burial to follow services at the King City District Cemetery.

Aunt Iva will be so missed we all love her so much . She will be missed by Marlene Mansfield and her daughters Ronda Reynolds and Sandy Rothfuss and there families, She was the sweetest person a blessing to us all, We love you Aunt Iva Till we see you again God Bless you The Mansfield's ,Reynolds's and Rothfuss's Family's

In remembrance of Iva Griffin Dixon
What a blessing Iva was to my DAD E. Gonzales.... For over 40 years they shared their friendship respectfully in a honorable way. Many times going shopping together and sharing with each other memories of each other's pass. At least once per week when all possible I would take my father out to lunch He would always bring Iva back a burrito, all nicely wrapped. She was such a blessing to me and my father, even though I never knew her personally like my father did, but I remember my father always talking how important, she was as a friend and companion always concern when she left due to sickness to stay with her daughter Salinas, I would see my dad, sadness and happiness when she came back. I know God bless you with a long life and I know you're a much better place. Some day we will all reunite with new bodies rejoicing in the presence of our maker and his son Jesus Christ. From the bottom of our hearts, we salute you Iva Griffin Dixon for making a memorable impact in those it knew you, rest in peace until we all see each other again.
