Michael Puga Obituary
Michael G. Puga, 44, of Salinas, passed away Thursday, March 25, 2010.
Michael was born January 12, 1966 in Brawley. He was a lifelong resident of Salinas.
Michael's most enjoyable times were being with his family. His affectionate nick name was "Miagi Wolf", and was also called "MacGyver" because he was able to fix anything.
Survivors: Sons Joey and Jacob Puga; parents Evangelina and Joe Puga; sister Ninfa Puga-Camel; brothers Tiburcio, David, Bobby and Joey Puga; nieces and nephews Anthony, Eric, Devin, Alexis, and Isiah Camel, Amanda and Krystyn Puga-Kline and D.J. Puga.
Vistitation: From 1-9 p.m. Thursday, April 1, 2010 at Healey Mortuary 405 N. Sanborn Road in Salinas.
Rosary: 7 p.m. Thursday, April 1 at Healey Mortuary.
Chapel Blessing: 10 a.m. Friday, April 2, 2010 at the Healey Mortuary Chapel .
Burial: Queen of Heaven Cemetery 18200 Damian Way Salinas, CA 93907.

With the passing of Michael, a piece of me has forever been removed. I cannot begin to find the words to express the pure shock and sadness that has taken a hold of me. Although Michael is no longer with us, I am lucky enough to still have Joey here with me and I will forever be grateful to Michael for blessing me with such a wonderful child. My prayers are with the entire Puga family. May God bless you not only now through this most difficult time but may He bless you always.

To The Puga Family:
I met Micheal when I was 12 years old, he would throw the football around with me and he would give me a few bucks whenever I helped him wash his moms 4X4 Red Truck . Mike would always say something off the wall that made me laugh, he could fix just about anything..... from cars,bikes,vcr's, laying carpet,tile ,detailing cars I mean the list goes on. I didn't say much at the funeral because I was still in shock that he had passed. As I'm writing out the memories about Mike its hitting me hard because I know when I cruise through Bolsa Knolls and ride by his pad he aint gonna be out front cutting the grass or washing his mothers truck, He's really gone and im tripp'n now. Im glad to have known you Micheal & we will meet again one day!
P.S. To Micheal, I feel lucky to have had you as a friend because whoever knew you knows that you were there for your friends and your family! The best thing that I enjoyed about your funeral is that you knew people from all walks of life and I like the way you were put to rest in that upper concrete wall like a KING , man thats how I wanna go out. Stay strong Ms.Vita, Ninfa & David! Love Ya Mike.....100 Till Da Wheels Fall Off!

My prayers go out to the Puga family. Michael has been one of my life-long friends and his presence will definately be missed. He always brought smiles to my whole family with his morning greetings. Words cannot express all the things I'd like to say because there are many memories I have of Michael when we were growing up. He was always there for me and my girls whenever we needed him. Michael you will be greatly missed by my entire family, we love you!! R.I.P

To The Puga Family: I am sorry to hear that Mike passed away. My condolences to all of you. I lived in the same neighborhood with the Puga Family on Dexter Drive and went to school with Michael. My brother James Mabe was a friend of Michael's and I used to hang around the neighborhood with Tiburcio. God bless Michael and may he rest in peace- Melanie Mabe-Barnes, Wytheville, Va.

I am very sad to hear Mike has passed on. He was my friend and North High School buddy we rode the yellow school bus at one time. He will be greatly missed from the Bolse and Oles area. He is in the lords hands now and is resting in peace. God bless his kids and family. Your old buddy Jimmy.

Mike holds a special place in my heart and always will. Words cannot express the sadness I that I am feeling, I am so sorry for your loss. May your memories of Mike comfort you in your time of sorrow and give you the strength to get through this difficult time. I truly believe even though he is Heaven he is still with you. When you miss him, close your eyes and think of him and you will still be able to feel him. It works for me when I am having a hard time and missing Christopher. My thought and prayers are with you. To the Puga family,
Words cannot express the sadnesss I feel for your loss. All the memories and fun times living next door during our childhood years will be cherised. Michael had a very good heart and a kind young man. He would always watch out for our children. Anything they needed he was always there to help them. He will be missed dearly especially when we come back to Salinas to visit. His greetings, kindness, and smile will be sincerely missed. Rest in peace Michael.

To the Puga family,
I am so sorry for your loss. I will always miss him having that great smile and greeting me every time I came back to Salinas to visit. I can remember all the stories Isaac would tell me about their adventures. Like a time they got stuck out in that old Chevy Luv truck of Michael's. Isaac tells the story much better. My kids loved him dearly and will remember that he always had a bike for them to ride. We will truly miss him. God Bless you all and I know he was a Christian and is in Heaven looking down on us. It is with deep sadness and regret to lose a friend like Michael Puga. I had the privilege of knowing him in his younger years and will always remember him for his warm smile, love for life, respectful & gentlemanly manner, and his willingness to always lend a helping hand to friends and family. He will be sincerely missed.
