Salinas
Dr. Paul Joseph Farrell, of Salinas, passed away Sunday morning. He was born May 12, 1930 in Tewksbury, MA, to Edward Joseph and Lillian Farrell.
He graduated from St. Anthony High School in Long Beach, attended the United States Naval Academy Preparatory School in Bainbridge, MD, served in the U.S. Navy, and graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA.
He moved his family to Salinas in 1957 and practiced chiropractic here for 39 years. He was active in Salinas Junior Chamber of Commerce, Toastmasters, Knights of Columbus, Boy Scouts of America, Rotary, and Salinas Golf & Country Club. He served on the Salinas Library Commission and Planning Commission. He enjoyed golf and travelling around the world with his wife, Mickey, visiting their grandchildren.
He was preceded in death in 2013 by his wife, Rosemary Gorman "Mickey" Farrell.
He is survived by his sister, Lillian McKiben; his sons, Tim, Vince, Andy, Michael, Christopher, and Dan, and 18 grandchildren.
Requiem Mass will be celebrated at 1:00 p.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2016, at Madonna del Sasso Catholic Church, 320 East Laurel Drive, Salinas, CA 93906.
He requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Madonna del Sasso St. Vincent de Paul, Dorothy's Kitchen, or the Sisters of Providence.

Paul was a wonderful Christian man, a true family man who supported his kids' activities. He was a loving employer, and he cared personally about his patients. He was kind, humorous, and supported the community. He was a good man and will be missed by many who knew and loved him. My condolences to the entire family.
