Robert Earl Obituary
Salinas - Robert Frederick "Bob" Earl, 80, of Salinas, Calif., passed away on Tuesday, 18 May 2021. Born 15 March 1941 in King City, Calif., he was the son of the late Leo Lambert and Lillian Mercedes (Beyer) Earl.
A 1959 graduate from Salinas High School, Robert enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he proudly served until 1965, as a sonarman and electrical repairman. He later became a union journeyman electrician with IBEW. Robert had a passion for bowling, in which he scored a perfect game of "300." He also loved watching football, being a diehard San Francisco 49ers fan. After his retirement in 1999, he became active with Sons in Retirement, holding several leadership positions. His family and friends will miss his subtle sarcasm, great sense of humor and warm smile which were cornerstones of his personality.
Robert is survived by his wife of 57 years, Phyllis Jean (Webb) Earl, four children Daniel (wife Debbie (Markus) Earl) of San José, James (wife Bridgette (Mihm) Earl) of Michigan, Deborah Camacho (husband Mark) of Roseville, and Jennifer Gray (husband Don) of Sacramento; four grandchildren, Aleyna and Alexa Camacho of Roseville, Levi and Eva Earl of Michigan. Robert was preceded in death by his two siblings, Dick of Georgia and Dorothy Walter of Sonora.
No services are planned. Interment will be at Garden of Memories in Salinas. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the American Heart Association. To share a memory, Please visit, www.healeymortuary.com

Robert was a friendly and even tempered co-worker since i met him in early sixties. He later became a valued employee for me in his semi-retirement. I fondly recall those times.

I first met Bob through bowling and we became even better friends in our SIRS Group. Bob will be a big loss to our group as he had the job of Web Site master and handled our monthly newsletter. His devotion to the club goes above and beyond. My condolences to the family with the void he leaves in their lives. God Speed my friend.

Sorry to hear about Bob's passing, I used to bowl on the same league with him and he was always fun to talk to and have laughs. He will be missed.
