Virginia Gaetos Labson, 76, of Salinas, passed away Saturday July 25, 2015. She was born Dec. 12, 1938, in San Juan La Union, Philippines.
Virginia worked in the agriculture business for 20 years as a line worker for Simplot. She was a member of the Laogenian Association, Sierra Madre Lodge #136 Legionarios Del Trabajo, Legion of Mary, and Madonna Del Sasso Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, cooking, gardening and loving her dog, Abby.
Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Albaro Labson; daughter, Sylvia Allen; parents, Justiniano and Tomasa Gaetos; her sister, Zenaida Abaga of Philippines, and brother, Roger Gaetos of Salinas.
Virginia is survived by her sisters, Ofelia Bungay of Canada, Estrella Catbagan of Philippines, Remy Adriano of San Jose, Elvira Nagma of Salinas, Babe Valdriz of Salinas; her brothers, Al Gaetos of Salinas, Alfred Gaetos of Gilroy, Albert Gaetos of Salinas; step-son, Robert Labson of Mountain View; gand-daughter, Heather Allen of Los Angeles, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Alta Vista Mortuary, 41 East Alisal St., Salinas, CA 93901.
Rosary will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday July 30, 2015, at Alta Vista Mortuary, 41 East Alisal St., Salinas, CA 93901.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2015, at Madonna del Sasso Church, 320 East Laurel Dr., Salinas, CA 93901.
Burial will follow at Garden of Memories Cemetery, 850 Abbott St., Salinas, CA 93901.

I am sorry to see that Virginia has passed away. I remember her since I was in grammar school. She was so nice and kind to me. I just seen her at Glen's funeral and she recognized me, rest in peace Virginia
