Steven Boyd Lyon, 69, of Hillsville, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at his home. Mr. Lyon was born in Pulaski, Virginia to the late W.S. Lyon and Doris Edwards Poole. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his step-father, Maynard Poole.
Survivors include his wife, Jean Wilcox Lyon; daughter, Stephanie Lyon; granddaughter, Bethanie Hale; step-sons, Randy Hart (Karen) and Travis Hart (Jackie); five step-grandchildren; and special friends, David and Vanessa Worrell and Frankie and Angie Vass.

We got to know Steve a couple of years ago as he was my late uncle Gary Dalton's friend. We really enjoyed Steve's story telling, laughter, and humor. We loved his tales of he and Gary at the old Tri-angle. A good man gone. Condolences to his family and friends.

Steven’s grandfather Fern Lyon was married to my grandmother Rita Lyon. My mother is JoAnn Horton, Rita’s daughter. Saw Steven when we were young more than in recent times.

I have good memories of Stephen from our yearly visits to see Grandad Lyon many years ago. I don't get to come there much anymore. My MOther loved Stephen so much. Will miss visiting him when ever we get to come there to visit. Praying for strength and comfort for you and your family.
