Bruce Potter Obituary

MANSFIELD

Bruce Potter, 88, of Mansfield, passed away on Thursday, March 20, 2025. He was the son of Charles and Gertrude Potter. Bruce started his career as a Tool and Die Maker at Akim Engineering. He eventually decided to become self employed as a Flooring Installer where he enjoyed the freedom of working for himself. He always had a project going on at his house after his retirement and stayed very busy. He played on numerous teams in a Connecticut Horseshoe Club and even won a State Championship one year.

He graduated from Windham High School. After high school, Bruce met and married Carol Chasse, of Willimantic CT, his wife of 65 years, and resided in Mansfield, CT.

Bruce is predeceased by his wife, Carol and all his brothers, Donald, George, Art and Benny; sisters, Ruthy and Arlean.

Bruce leaves behind his daughter, Tammy Potter of Georgia; son, Steven Potter and his wife, Charlene Potter of Woodstock CT, and South Carolina, and step-grandson Benjamin Shipton of Chaplin CT, who he enjoyed watching all the projects he would build.
