Donald Hiltgen Obituary

WINDHAM

Donald Francis Hiltgen, 87 and Patricia Martin Hiltgen, 83, husband and wife of sixty-

eight years entered into rest on October 11, 2025, and Patricia on September 29, 2025.

Patricia was born in Willimantic, Connecticut as the daughter of the late Genevieve and Eugene J. Martin Jr. She was a home health care worker and would lovingly care for those at the last stages of their lives.

Donald was born in Windham, Connecticut as the son of the late Mildred and Walter F. Hiltgen. Donald was a heavy construction worker for the Union and went on to retire from Rodgers Corporation in Connecticut.

Survivors of Donald and Patricia include his daughter, Jane MacDonald (Keith), son, John Hiltgen (Sandra), grandchildren, Joshua MacDonald, John David Hiltgen, Jeremy MacDonald, Jacob Hiltgen and several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Donald and Patricia were living in Johnston, SC at the time of their passing and any services planned for the couple will be announced at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Edgefield Mercantile Funeral Home.
