Alice Franklin Obituary
Alice was born Oct. 7, 1941, in Clayton, Ga., a daughter of Samuel Tyler and Ginnie Belle Moore Tyler. She was married to the late William "Bill" Paris Franklin. Alice was a member of Boggs Mountain Baptist Church. She worked as a cook for the Rabun County Memorial Hospital and then as a baker for Walmart. Alice was an artist when it came to crafts; she loved to sew; and she even made her kids clothes and prom dresses when they were growing up.
She is survived by four children, Donnie Brock (Terri), Milton Brock (Sherrie Virgo), Pam Kilby (Dale), and Chris Brock; four stepchildren, Kenneth Franklin (Francesca), Debbie Franklin, Paris Franklin, and Marty Franklin (Karen); 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Sullivan (Dan) and Ruby Buchanan; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation was held Monday, Feb. 13, 2023, from 6-8 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home. Funeral Service was held Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023, 2 p.m. at the Eastside Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with Dr. Kenneth Franklin and Pastor Jewell Gaines officiating. Burial followed at Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Clarkesville, Ga.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association, 255 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, Il 60601.
