Frederick Dotson Obituary

Frederick E. Dotson, age 62, of Simpsonville, S.C., went to be with the Lord on Dec. 24, 2025.
Fred was a man of deep faith and character - loving husband, devoted father, and a generous steward of his time and talents. He was married for 33 years to his beloved wife, Shelley Dotson, and together they built a life centered on family, service, and love.
He is survived by his wife, Shelley Dotson; his sons, Reagan Dotson, Thomas Dotson, Elliot Dotson and Stephen Dotson; and his daughters, Jessica Rideout and Julianna Dotson. He is also survived by his siblings, Cindy Bass Searfoss and Hugh William Dotson, and by his mother, Reba Dotson Deal.
Fred was preceded in death by his father, Henry Eugene Dotson.
Fred was an active and beloved member of Grace Church, attending the Harrison Bridge campus. He will be remembered as a man of God, a natural leader, and a true "jack of all trades." Known for his humor as a self-proclaimed comedian, he brought laughter and warmth to those around him. His interests included hiking, running, science fiction, music, biking, computers, and reading-reflecting both his curiosity and love for the outdoors.
Professionally, Fred served as Vice President at Asset Enterprises, Inc. He was deeply committed to mentoring and teaching, earning a black belt in Kuk Sool Won. His dedication to service extended into his community. where he volunteered as a financial advisor and served as President of his neighborhood HOA.
Fred's legacy is one of faith, generosity, leadership, and love-leaving a lasting imprint on all who were blessed to know him.
