Tim Dazzo Obituary

Tim Dazzo, age 78, of Scaly Mountain, N.C., passed away peacefully on Oct. 16, 2024, in Miami, Fla., at Baptist Hospital. Tim resided in Scaly Mountain, N.C., and Miami, Fla.
He was born to the late Joe and Mary Dazzo and is survived by his brother Frank B. Dazzo and sister-in-law Olga Dazzo along with many cousins in New Orleans, St. Louis and elsewhere in Louisiana.
Tim graduated from Miami High School and earned his bachelor's degree from Florida State University. He enjoyed several outdoor hobbies, including hiking, fishing, duck hunting, and football games. A devout Catholic, Tim's faith was a central part of his life.
Tim will be remembered for his kind heart and will be deeply missed by his immediate family, many other relatives, and friends.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2024, at 1 p.m. at Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church, 315 N 5th Street, Highlands, N.C., with Father Jason Barone officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service at Highlands Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends on Monday, Oct. 28, 2024, at Hunter Funeral Home, 423 Warwoman Rd. Clayton, Ga., from 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. The family will have a Recitation of the Rosary starting at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Tim's name to either St. Helena Catholic Church in Clayton, Ga., or Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church in Highlands.
