Allen Spicher Obituary

Allen L. (Butch) Spicher, 83, passed away Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born October 2, 1940, in DuBois. He was the son of the late Lester and Leona (Kirk) Spicher. Allen was raised in Rockton. He was the youngest of ten children. Allen was preceded in death by his brothers: Don, Bob, Ray, and Ken Spicher; his sisters: Miriam Kirk, Mildred Dillingham, and Carol Brubaker.

Allen married the late Judy (McKee) Spicher on February 3, 1968. She preceded him in death on March 10, 2008. Allen graduated from DuBois High School in 1958, and then joined the U.S. Army as a mechanic. After the Army, he did carpentry work, built homes, and did road construction. He was a jack-of-all trades. If something needed fixed or someone needed help, he was always ready to lend a helping hand. Allen was a member of the John M. Read Masonic Lodge and the Reynoldsville Eagles where he served as a trustee.

Allen enjoyed woodworking, lottery tickets, and his cats. But he especially enjoyed spending time with his family. Allen is survived by his two daughters: Dana (Mike) Fye and Trudy (Jason) Hallowell; six grandchildren: Allison (Jeremiah) Keller, Dylan (Kira) Fye, Alexis (Tyler) Fleeger, Ashley, Jaylen, and Jocelyn Hallowell; three great-grandchildren: Gabriella Fleeger, Aspyn and Willow Fye; two sisters: Marilyn Sayers and Mary Lou (Bob) Miller; in-laws: Ed Brubaker, Ginny Spicher, Doris Watt, and Mary Fannin; numerous nieces and nephews; and his cat: Socks.

Following Allen's wishes, no viewing or services will be held. PA Simple Cremation is assisting the family with the arrangements.

Memorial donations can be made to Clarion Paws P.O. Box 804, Clarion, PA 16214 or the Gateway Humane Society 1211 Airport Road, Falls Creek, PA 15840.

Dear Dana, Trudy and families,
We were very sorry to see of Uncle Butch's passing. He fought a long hard fight for many years and is now at rest. Take comfort in the fact that the last of Grandma Spicher's boys are now with her. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Sincerely,
Ron and Cheryl
