Betty Swope Obituary

Betty Lee Swope, 94, of DuBois, PA, passed away peacefully January 1, 2023 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Betty was born on July 8, 1928, and was the daughter of the late Ernest Lee and Annie (Marshall) Lee. She was the youngest of their seven children.
She married Reed K. Swope on May 31, 1947, and they celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary just prior to Reed's death in 2017.
Betty is survived by her son, Tim (Marie) Swope, granddaughters, Meghan Swope, Sonia Swope, and Erica (Ryan) Manthey, and three great-grandchildren.
Her beloved sons, David and Terry, awaited her heavenly arrival, having preceded her in death.
As a woman of great faith in her Lord Jesus, Betty was a member of Lakeside United Methodist Church and active in Bible studies at the nursing home. She was known for her bright spirit, love of reading, devotion to her family, and genuine care for others throughout the community.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00?a.m. March 3, 2023 at Lakeside United Methodist Church in DuBois. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lakeside UMC or to DuBois Continuum of Care.
