Bob "Lumpy" Lundblad, 87, of Allens Mills, PA died peacefully on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born on April 5, 1938, in Westville, PA, he was the son of the late Rudolph L. "Rudy" and M. Aldean "Dean" Postlewaite Lundblad.
He was married to Virginia Byerly Hilliard Lundblad and she preceded him in death on January 15, 2010.
Retired, Lumpy was a coal miner all of his life. He enjoyed playing horseshoes and darts. Back in the 1970's, he could be found every racing season driving his car, #54 at Hummingbird Speedway. Through the years he still enjoyed local racing and you could find him on race night at any local track. Sunday mornings were made for listening to the Polka Party on Q102 with Big Moose, and watching NASCAR racing on TV the rest of the day. Lumpy also enjoyed playing cards, poker in particular, but his bluffing skills didn't always work out for him. He also enjoyed having coffee with the guys at Moore's Garage, and shooting the breeze with anyone willing to talk.
He is survived by two sons, John Robert Lundblad and his husband, Jeff Kost, of Altoona, PA and Daniel Lawrence Lundblad and his husband, Curt McClelland, of Butler, PA; two step children, Linda (Hilliard) Boozer of Shippenville, PA and Randon Hilliard of Sugar Hill; granddaughters, Danita Marie Lundblad of Avonmore, PA, Adayna Lundblad (Benjamin) Sharp of Reynoldsville, PA, Christi Fetzer of Brookville, PA; grandsons, Michael Boozer of Ohio and Justin Hilliard of Brockway; great-grandchildren, Tre Wilkerson and McKenzi Wilkerson, both of Avonmore, PA, Dillan Keeder and Jocelyn Keeder, both of Reynoldsville; great-great-grandsons, Jaxsin and Raiyland Wilkerson, also of Avonmore. Lumpy is also survived by sisters, Barbara (Daniel) Jones of Hubbard, Ohio, Beverly (Alan) Lindemuth and Patricia Lindemuth, both of Hazen.
In addition to his parents and his wife, he was also preceded in death by his twin sister, Joyce Hess; sisters, Vivian Reynolds and Gail Smith; brothers, Donald Lee Strawcutter Lundblad, John Alexander Lundblad; his brother-in-law, Jack Lindemuth; and, most recently, his nephew, Dale Lindemuth.
