Daniel Quashnock Obituary

Daniel Lee Quashnock, Boomer, 66, of Reynoldsville, PA passed away October 10, 2025.

Daniel was born June 29, 1959, in DuBois. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonna Deemer, (step)father Eddie Thomas, and aunt, Sally Deemer. Also preceding him in death is Hobo Quashnock, his faithful sidekick and companion.

Graduating high school June 12, 1977, he eventually gained employment with Brockway Pressed Metals as a die setter. When they closed their doors in 2003, he chose to move onto higher education with Triangle Tech, where he graduated October 5, 2007, with an associate degree in welding and fabrication.

He is survived by daughters, Catherine, (Warren, PA) and Christa Quashnock (State College, PA); brothers, Kevin Quashnock, (Shippenville, PA) and Shane Thomas (Hazen, PA); and sister, Mary Harmon (Reynoldsville, PA).

Daniel very much enjoyed hunting, cooking over an open fire, playing poker online with his friends, and enjoying several professional league sports. He was always helping someone, somehow. He donated much of his free time to his daughters, close friends, and visiting nursing homes as an emotional support human to his best friend, Boo. And he was one damn fine American.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Reynoldsville. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at the church, with Fr. Richard Seifer as celebrant. Burial will take place in St. Mary's Church Cemetery in Reynoldsville.

Family suggests donations to the Jefferson County Humane Society. Online condolences can be made at www.nedzafamilyfuneralhomes.com. Arrangements are under the direction of the Leo Nedza Funeral Home.
