Frank Toven Obituary

Frank E. Toven, 89, of Reynoldsville, PA, passed away on July 22, 2024, at Penn Highlands DuBois hospital.

Frank was born in Reynoldsville on January 28, 1935, to the late Frank E. Sr. and Rebecca (Lingenfelter) Toven and he grew up in Anita, PA.

Frank graduated from Punxsutawney High School with the Class of 1953. He proudly served in the United States Army for three years, mainly in Alaska. Frank married the love of his life, Kathleen Condron, on January 2, 1960.

He worked as a tool and diemaker and a pattern maker for 32 years at a Chrysler Stamping Plant in Twinsburg, OH. He moved back to Pennsylvania for trout fishing and was an avid fisherman and especially good at tying flies. Frank attended the Reynoldsville Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Reynoldsville American Legion and Reynoldsville Eagles.

In addition to his wife, Frank is survived by two children, Diana (Robert) Ackerman, Wayne Toven; two step granddaughters; one step great-granddaughter; two sisters, Judy Biggie, Sandie (Jack) Scott; one brother, Robert Toven; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in passing by his brothers, Richard Toven, Allen Toven, Gordon Toven; and sister, Sharon Dunlap.

Family and friends will be received on Thursday, July 25, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Snyder – d'Argy Funeral Home, 206 E. Main Street, Reynoldsville, PA, 15851. A funeral service will take place immediately following the viewing, beginning at 1 p.m. and officiated by Pastor Al Hewitt. Final interment will take place at Lakelawn Memorial Park, Winslow Twp., Jefferson Co., PA.
