Frederic Christian Obituary

Frederic Harwood Christian, 82, DuBois, passed away Saturday, Dec. 23, 2017, at Nelson Golden Years. He was born June 26, 1935, in DuBois, Pa., son of the late Mark and Pearl (Clouser) Christian.
He was a 1953 graduate of Sandy High School, after which he was drafted into the U.S. Army.
Frederic lived many of years in Tonawanda, N.Y. While in New York he worked as a supervisor for Maintenance & Laundry at a Nursing Home in Buffalo, before returning to DuBois in 2009.
He is survived by two sisters, Peg Cyphert of DuBois and Kathy (Delbert) States of Reynoldsville; two brothers, Charles (Amy) Christian of Arizona and Tony (Marilyn) Christian of DuBois.
Frederic was also preceded in death by five sisters: Rowene Nyland, Jane Cook, Sarah Pierce, Ruth Kocher aned Mary Lou Snyder; two brothers, Dale and Dalbert Christian; and his longtime friend, David Valois.
Friends will be received on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2017, from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Leo Nedza Funeral Home in DuBois. Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Leo Cramer officiating. Burial will take place in Morningside Cemetery.
