Janet Shuttleworth Obituary

Janet Lynn Shuttleworth, 52, of Reynoldsville, passed away on October 19, 2023, surrounded by her loving family, following a battle with colon cancer.

?Born on May 18, 1971, in DuBois, Janet is the daughter of Milly E. (Custer) and the late John L. Shuttleworth, Jr.

Janet was a 1989 graduate of DuBois Area High School. While in high school, she enjoyed being involved in the Upward Bound program at Penn State University. She attended Penn State and later worked there. Prior to Janet's illness, she worked as a private caregiver for two local families. She was also a member of the Reynoldsville Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her older brother John, her father Jack, and grandparents John and EdnaMae Shuttleworth and Jacob and Geniva Custer.

Janet was a wonderful daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She always knew everyone's interests and hobbies and took extra special care to find gifts for them that reflected those interests. The family would like to thank all of the staff at Hahne Cancer Center and Dr. Logan and the staff in the Neuro ICU at Penn Highlands DuBois for their compassionate care throughout Janet's illness.
