Margaret Hrinya Obituary

Margaret Ann "Peggy" Hrinya, 81, of Creation Drive, DuBois, PA died on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born on August 7, 1943, in DuBois, she was the daughter of the late John and Kathryn Slattery Hrinya.

She was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, where she obtained her master's degree in pharmacy. Retired, she had been employed as a pharmacist at UPMC Presbyterian/The Faulk Clinic in Pittsburgh. After her retirement, she and her sister, Mary Kathryn, moved back to DuBois to enjoy their retirement and a slower paced life. Peggy enjoyed watching movies, especially sci-fi style films. She also enjoyed photography and taking thousands and thousands of pictures with her phone. Her greatest enjoyment came from her pooch "Katie" who really was her entire life.

She is survived by an aunt Lois Slattery of DuBois; numerous cousins and her special friends the Morrison family of Brockway.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Kathryn Hrinya.

All services For Peggy will be private at the convenience of her family. Burial will be in St. Tobias Cemetery in Brockway.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society of UPMC -Presbyterian Renal Unit.

The Shugarts Funeral Home Inc. of Brockway is handling the arrangements.
