Michael Hoyt Obituary
Born August 26, 1949, in DuBois, he was the son of the late James B. and Marie (Hook) Hoyt.
On October 27, 1973, he married the love of his life who survives him, Molly (Maitland) Hoyt. They were married for 51 blessed years.
Mike graduated from the DuBois Area High School in 1967 and went on earn a degree from Penn State University. Upon graduation, he was self-employed as the owner of a Mobil Gas Station on I-80 Exit 86. After selling the business, he went to work for Penn Traffic where he remained as warehouse supervisor for 39 years. Upon retirement, Mike was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved gardening and working in his yard. He spent many hours volunteering at the Gateway Humane Society. Mike was a devoted Christian who walked in his faith throughout his life even at the time of his passing. He attended Treasure Lake Church.
In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by three sons, Matthew (Deborah) Hoyt, Reynoldsville, Michael Hoyt, Bellefonte, and Marc (Katrina Vincent) Hoyt, DuBois; eight grandchildren, Madison, Stefanie, Marek, Tyler, Bryan, Mackenzie, Maddox, and David, and his sister, Judy (Verle) Emanuelson.
He will always be in our hearts and remembered for his faith, work ethic, and unconditional love for his family.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, December 11, 2024 from 3–6:30 p.m. at the Adamson Funeral Chapel and Crematorium. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Treasure Lake Church after the visitation at 7 p.m. with Pastor Dave Ginn officiating. Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
Although flowers are appreciated, the family encourages donations be made to the Gateway Humane Society, P.O. Box 678, Falls Creek, PA 15840.

Molly and family,
We send our deepest sympathy for Mike's passing. Although he graduated the same year as Nick, we all worked at Riverside in different capacities for many years. His work ethic was amazing. He was always a true gentleman and family man. Mike will never be forgotten. May God grant you his peace and comfort in the days ahead.
