Ruby Rhodes Obituary
She was born October 3, 1928, in Winslow Township, the daughter of the late Harry and Elizabeth (Straitwell) Norris. She graduated from Reynoldsville High School. On July 8, 1950, she married the love of her life, Blair V. Rhodes. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage prior to his death on May 12, 2015.
Ruby worked alongside her husband operating a dairy farm for most of her life. Her favorite activities were spending time helping her family, cooking, and baking. She was a member of the Zion Presbyterian Church in Panic.
Ruby is survived by a daughter, Beverly (Alex) Armagost, of Palmer, Alaska; two sons, Rodney (Terri) Rhodes of Panic and Gary Rhodes of Reynoldsville; seven grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Evelyn McConnell of Brockway.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a brother, Arthur Norris; and two sisters, Florence Shaffer and Margie Fumante.
Friends and family will be received from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, March 22, 2025, with the funeral service being held at noon at the Adamson Funeral Chapel & Crematorium in DuBois with the Rev. Al Hewitt officiating. Burial will be at the Zion Presbyterian Cemetery, Panic.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in memory of Ruby to the American Cancer Society.
The family wishes to thank the McKinley Rehab staff for their support and kindness. They would also like to thank the hospice staff for their compassion and care.

Sincere condolences to the Rhodes family. Ruby was a wonderful, hard working, loving wife and mother. Bev, Rod and Gary, I haven´t seen you all in years but in times like this our mind goes back to our school years. Your mom was one of the best!
