Samuel Miller Obituary

Samuel "Sam" L. Miller, 85, of Reynoldsville, passed away on September 27, 2025, at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Born on March 29, 1940, in DuBois, he was the son of the late Chester and Zelda (Guiher) Miller.

On April 23, 1960, Sam married his true love, Judith A. Hockin in Winchester, Virginia, together they had 65 wonderful years. Judy survives.

Sam graduated from Reynoldsville High School, class of "1958," and was retired from Ward Trucking and UPS. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of DuBois, Reynoldsville Eagles and a caretaker for the Prospect Cemetery for many, many years. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and friends.

Sam is survived by his loving family; wife Judy, son William L. (Patty) Miller of Tunkhannock, PA and twin daughters, Deanne E. and Leanne D. Miller of Reynoldsville, three grandchildren: Steffan (Samantha) Miller, Meghan (Will) Smith, Lyndsey (Amanda) Miller and five great-grandchildren. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

He was preceded by his parents, stepfather Lee Kougher and brother Gary Miller.

All services are private.

Burial will take place in Prospect Cemetery, Reynoldsville.

Memorials may be made to Prospect Cemetery Association, 2767 West Liberty Road, Reynoldsville, PA 15851.
