Virginia Royer Obituary
Born November 29, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Magdalene Gruzinski.
Ginger was married to the late John E. Royer Jr.
Ginger attended Falls Creek and DuBois Schools. In her working years, she was employed by Shop & Save Bakery and Paris Cleaners. For 30 years, she served as a Judge of Elections in West Sandy Township. Ginger loved to travel, especially as a snowbird to Florida. She enjoyed lunches with her fellow classmates, friends, and family, going to Camp Ladore and the casino, and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In her younger years, Ginger was an avid hunter. She was Catholic by faith.
Ginger is survived by six children, John (Carla) Royer III, Clarion, Christine Royer, DuBois, Debbie Jaramillo, St. Cloud, FL, Michael Royer, DuBois, Valerie (Scott) Hyde, Reynoldsville, and Douglas (Tammy) Royer Sr., Sykesville; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren, and a brother, Raymond (Cindy) Carahan.
In addition to her mother and husband, Ginger was preceded in death by her siblings, Joseph Carahan and Mary Jose, and her great-grandson, Maddox Hyde.
Friends and family will be received Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. from the Adamson Funeral Chapel & Crematorium. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. from the funeral chapel with LaMarr Adamson CLP officiating. Interment will be in Morningside Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to the organization of the donor's choice.
