William Buhite Obituary
He was born October 27, 1965, in Ridgway, a son of William Sr. and Ruth Stewart Buhite.
On September 9, 1995, at St. Leo's Magnus Church, he married Rita Cregan, who survives of Ridgway.
Bill was a graduate of Ridgway High School class of 1984 and is member of St. Leo's Magnus Church. Bill attended Clarion University to obtain his bachelor's degree in teaching and master's degree from Gannon University. Bill loved the outdoors, teaching, and his annual camping trip with his buddies. Bill will be remembered for being the greatest son that William and Ruth could ask for. Bill always had a helping hand and made a huge impact on everyone he came across. If Bill wasn't out hunting and fishing, he was at home cooking a meal that everyone would remember.
In addition to his wife, Rita Cregan Buhite, and his parents, William and Ruth Buhite, he is survived by two daughters, Jenna Buhite of Ridgway, and Rachel Buhite and her boyfriend, Shawn Breindel, of Ridgway; two sisters, Lori Ann Pomeroy and her husband, Seth, of Kane, and Miriam Bonner and her husband, Jeff, of Richmond, Va. He is also survived by many numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Willard and Valeria Stewart, and paternal grandparents, Jean Zarambo and Frank Buhite.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 21, 2021, from 4-7 p.m. at Krise Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 130 Center Street, Ridgway, PA 15853. COVID-19 guidelines must be followed.
A Mass of Christian Burial for William Buhite Jr. will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 22, 2021 at St. Boniface Church, 355 Main Street, Kersey, PA 15846 with Rev. Ross Miceli, pastor, officiating.
Live streaming can been seen at St. Boniface Facebook, as well as Krise Funeral Home Facebook.
Burial will follow at Park Lawn Memorial Gardens..
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ridgway Fire Department.

Bill, Ruth, Lori and Miriam, and Rita,
I am so sad to hear of Billy's passing. Yes, "Billy Buhite" as us neighbors called him. Little Bill for a while.
Although I haven't been in Ridgway for a long time, I heard that Bill was a good teacher and still an avid hunter.
