Angela Joann Asberry Libby, age 55, a New Castle resident, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, May 5, 2021. She was at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 14, 1966 in New Castle, Indiana, a daughter of James Gordon Asberry & Elaine Nicholson Hardgrove.
She had resided in New Castle most of her life and was a 1984 graduate of Blue River Valley High School. She was a graduate of Ivy Tech with an associate degree in Business. She was a member of Southside Church of Christ in New Castle and served as a volunteer with the Chamber of Commerce. She was an active member of the 4-H horse and pony. She was a homemaker, enjoyed family cookouts with family. She was employed with New Castle License Branch, Ameriana Bank, Pfenninger Insurance Agency. She was also an avid Colt's fan.
Left to cherish her loving memory include husband, Dennis Libby whom she married in 2007; her mother, Elaine Hardgrove of New Castle; one daughter, Samantha Radford (husband, Brandon) of New Castle; one son, Austin Orr (wife, Emily) of New Castle; one stepson, Shane Libby of Hartford City, In., two step-grandchildren, Logan Libby and Landon Libby; two grandchildren, Hudson and Eva Radford; one brother, Kelly Asberry (wife, Carrie) of New Castle; stepmother, Bonnie Asberry of Brownsburg, In;
stepbrother, Chris Hancock (wife, Dana) of Brownsburg, In., several nieces, nephews and cousins; mother and father-in-law, Tom and Donna Boyer.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Gordon Asberry.
Funeral services will be held., 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 8, 2021 at Southside Church of Christ, 2805 South SR 103, New Castle with Pastor Pat McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow at Mooreland Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until service time at the church.
