Barbara Dalton Obituary

Barbara Lynne Dalton went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. She was born on September 1, 1950 to John and Helen (Phillips) Hawkins.

She spent 44 years married to her husband, Richard Dalton, whom she wed on July 3, 1981. She said Richard always made her laugh.

Barbara was a RN for over 45 years and loved caring for her patients. She was a member of Bible Study Fellowship for 20 years and was a current member of Memorial Wesleyan Church and a past member of Springport Christian Church.

Barbara loved to travel and she and Richard had been all over the world in their adventures. Her favorite past times were being on the water on her pontoon boat and playing cards. She also enjoyed serving in her church by helping with funeral dinners.

Along with Richard, two brothers, Steve (Carol) Hawkins and Jeff (Angie) Hawkins; two nieces, Amy and Heather; brother-in-law, John "Kirk" Dalton and her pets, Rosy, Buddy, Cooper and Gizmo survive her.

Her parents and her in-laws, Thomas and Vera Dalton, precede her in death.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00pm Sunday, July 20, 2025 at Memorial Wesleyan Church in New Castle with Pastor Mark Wooten officiating. Friends may visit from 2:00pm until the time of service on Sunday. In Barbara's honor, memorial contributions may be given to the Henry County Humane Society, through the Henry County Community Foundation.
