Brian Todd Chew, 52, of Richmond, passed away unexpectedly in his home the morning of April 13, 2025. His beautiful soul entered this world on August 20, 1972. Brian is survived by his wife and high school sweetheart of 35 years, Kimberly Ellen Chew. His two daughters, Chloe Renee Chew (Jake Pedrelli) and Gabriella Caroline Chew, and son, Jackson Dean Chew. His parents, Ronald and Linda Chew. His two siblings, Angela (Chuck) Ventresco and Brittany Chew (Troy Rau). His maternal grandmother, Martha (Walt) Rossmanith. And many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins who he loved dearly. Brian has always been a bright light in the lives of those who knew him.
Brian grew up in Henry County, attending Tri Junior Senior High School, class of 1991, where he met many lifelong friends. He completed his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Economics from Purdue University in 1997.
He joined New Castle Stainless Plate LLC in 1998. Over 27 years, Brian worked his way up to VP of Operations. His value for a hard work ethic has created a lasting impact.
He lived vibrantly and with a passion for tending to life and others. This can be seen in his love for farming with his grandpa, his adoration for nature, raising his three children, and his devotion to his wife, Kimberly.
Brian was a loving and committed husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend, who will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather W. Lyle Roberts and paternal grandparents, Raymond H. Chew and Thelma E. Chew.
A calling will be held Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm followed by a celebration of life at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
